Native Plant Walk

Adults, teenagers and children 8 and up are welcome to join us for an educational 1 mile (or less) hike learning about native plants and studying them in their natural habitat. We will be exploring the Cole Canyon Trail in Murrieta California on January 31st from 10:00 to 11:00 am. We will meet at the south entrance seen on Google maps as 23173 Wiashal Trail. As we walk we will be stopping to discuss which plants have medicinal benefits, which are edible and which are harmful as well as ethical harvesting methods. We will also delve into topics like tool making, indigenous culture, local history and traditional plant processing techniques with ample time for questions and comments. Come join us!
